About Us
Jan Hanvold is a 57 year old Norwegian Visionary, an apostle and a man of great faith. He has an uncomplicated Christian view and his burning passion and desire is that people be saved and become disciples so that they in turn would serve the Lord and reach others.
Jan Hanvold describes himself as "a self made man" without formal education. He is fearless and a big thinking pioneer who has survived many challenges.
Jan has been winning souls since the 70's when he was smuggling Bibles into Poland and Russia. He has been taking humanitarian aid into Eastern Europe for over 15 years, along with preaching the Gospel and starting churches.
Everything Jan has started has been by faith and the Lord has blessed his work.
In his 31 years of ministry, by the grace of God, he has been able to pioneer several mission organizations such as, the Vision Bible Center, two local radio stations, Vision Norway TV (the leading Scandinavian TV channel which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary) and now Vision Heaven TV. Jan is married to Inger and they have two children.
Visjon Norge is airing 24 hours a day throughout Scandinavia while Vision Heaven TV is airing 24 hours a day throughout Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, Australia, USA, Canada and Mexico. In addition both channels can be watched live on the Internet 24 hours each day. God is using these two channels to proclaim His Word.
Vision Heaven TV was started in the spring of 2008 as a response to a word from God to Jan to start another channel to reach different parts of the world in the language of the people. The main focus of the programmes on Vision Heaven are to reveal what God is doing in different parts of the world at a grass root level.
Jan together with his staff is believing for 10,000 souls to be saved through the channel in 2009.
